That first moment you set foot in a gym, is a special moment. It’s both exciting, nerve racking and even vomit-inducing. You quietly seek the approval of other gym-goers wanting to prove you have just as much right to be count as one of the elite. You see them lifting heavy and you think to yourself you can do that too.You rack your weights on the bar, position yourself, and expect that doing this is going to make you look like Rich Froning or Jamie Eason.
Unfortunately, life isn’t clear cut.
Walking into a gym and lifting heavy weights is only a part of what it takes to look good, feel good, and build a healthy strong body.
The real launching point starts in the kitchen.
Before we go any further, let me say I am not a personal trainer, nor am I a nutritionist. As a matter of fact, I look nothing like those people who you so eagerly want to look like.
I weigh over 300 lbs and am considered obese. I don’t look at myself as someone who should give advice but I am someone who has been through the ups and downs of weight loss. I have lost weight, I have gained weight, and I know how much a person can have that desire to have a body they are pleased with.
I have learned that nutrition is the most vital component in weight loss and weight lifting. Food fuels our body and we only run as well as what we intake. Eating processed food gives you processed results, and eating whole clean food gives you whole clean results.
Never neglect the value of nutrition.
